About HVACy School:

What is HVACy?

Skilled trades  has often been viewed as subsequent to higher education. Many students have not been encouraged to pursue careers in this growing industry as there is  greater emphasis on attending traditional college to become a doctor, lawyer or a career that "makes the family proud."

At HVACy School, our mission is to encourage, educate and mentor students with hands-on training and practical skills to succeed in their chosen careers. We encourage and facilitate dialogue as we encourage students to identify their "WHY?" in HVAC and expose them to career opportunities that they may not have been aware of. We understand that there is a growing shortage of heating and air conditioning technicians. However, business analysts also forecast this will include a need for HVACR instructors, business owners, engineers, salespeople and mentors. Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you want work-life balance? Have you considered becoming an instructor? The questions and possibilities are endless. Begin here with us. Technical Education is the future. Your journey begins here.

Let's discuss what Norman Van Johnson calls "Figuring out your HVACY" - to really get students to ask themselves “why” are they interested in HVACR. Getting students to think about why they are interested in HVAC opens dialogue into all the possible careers in HVACR and what might be the best fit for an individual’s career path. For example, being a service technician is great for people who enjoy the solitude of driving to calls and don’t mind navigating through traffic as part of their daily routine. Others may look towards the path of teaching, owning their own business or being a consultant. There are thousands of different career opportunities within our industry, we just need to assist in figuring out why they are interested, and what they would like to pursue, to help guide our students to a successful futur
